Depression

Everyone knows phases in which one is discouraged, depressed and in a bad mood. Such temporary mood swings must be distinguished from real depression. This is a metabolic disorder in the brain. Important neurotransmitters, especially serotonin, are present in too low concentrations and send the soul into a tailspin.

Treatment

Oil massages: Ayurvedic full-body oil massages improve serotonin production and thus create a feeling of happiness. They can be carried out in the form of partner massages, therapeutically or as part of a spa treatment. Forehead oil pouring has also been shown to have good effects on depressive disorders.

tea: A tea mixture of ginseng, verbena and rosemary (three cups daily), tea made from lemon balm, linden blossom, nutmeg, saffron, lavender and basil individually or as a mixture (3 cups daily until symptoms improve) are helpful for depression.

Drug abstinence: Avoid alcohol and drugs – they will only make your mood worse.

Movement: Exercise. Studies show that regular exercise is an effective antidepressant.

Nutrition: The diet urgently needs to be changed to fresh and freshly prepared food.
